Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard courts

A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his maiden title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.

Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.

The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with long-time mentor his previous coach.

Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.

This represents the player's first trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface after March of 2023.

Success also indicates the Russian has achieved 21 victories at 21 distinct tournaments.

"For the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is really nice," said world number 14 Medvedev.

"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."

The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, including in Halle earlier this year.

His retrieving approach and frequent reactions on the tennis court had prompted commentators to wonder if his capacity to compete at the elite level was concluded.

Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, striving to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an better service.

The champion came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, taking four of the final five points to gain the advantage.

The competitors traded service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to force a decider.

Moutet defended 4 initial chances in a tight final set before Medvedev won the break to that score to close out the victory.

Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
